I made a new friend at a recent event organized by the Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC). His name is Esteban Lasso. He’s the Executive Director of Transforming Faces Worldwide, a member of OCIC. As a personal project, Esteban wants to start working with farmers in Ecuador around issues of fair trade. If you know something about the situation in Ecuador, the political scene there, and the fair trade movement there, particularly around agricultural products, then please make a comment to this post.

[Esteban, a friend who works in the Fair Trade banana industry contacted me about your request for information. I gave her your home email address. If she doesn’t contact you soon, then let me know by email.]
