Hello Ian,
I have no idea if you will see this or not, but I figured I would give it a shot.
My name is Stacey, and I'm currently attending my 2nd year of post secondary at Memorial University in ST. John's, NL. I am currently writing a paper for my sociology class on "the social causes for suppose or opposition of environmental and animal ethics groups". I was wondering if you would mind if I quoted you in my paper?

Thanks for pointing this out, Bob.

I'm not sure why the English version of the survey isn't working; it has been and the French one is. I will contact the coordinating committee member in charge of the survey. I'm sure the English version will be back up soon.

UPDATE Sept 29: Reykia Fick of TransFair Canada says the English version of the survey has been down for half a week and that it is now back up. The URL above still isn't working though. I will post a working URL when I receive it (likely within the next day).

UPDATE Sept 30: The English survey is back up. The URL listed above now works. Sorry for the inconvenience. (Thanks Reykia)

Hi Shirali,

Yes, you are certainly welcome to participate in the August 21-22 meeting. We will have an exact location for the meeting soon. We are going through draft agendas for the meeting right now and will publish the agenda soon.

There will be students, NGO types, union organizers, cooperators, etc there, so no we aren't confining the meeting to an age group or anything like that. I'm 28 and a PhD student. Patrick Clark is about 21 and a MA student. For instance. We are hoping for a range of students and youth labour organizers, amongst others. A couple coops, NGOs and unions have already confirmed their interest in participating.

We are working with the CLC and CFS-ON to get youth labour and students to the meeting.

My name is Shirali. I am a recent graduate student from the University of Windsor. I live in Toronto and am a mature student over 30. I would like to become involved in participating at the meeting. My interest and experience lies in social justice issues. I was wondering if this meeting is also for older persons, like myself. Let me know if I can help in any way.

I am glad to find the Apology on this page.
Once I went to the Canadian Aboriginal Centre on Spadina to offer my Fair Trade chocolate, and one of the men standing by questioned: "Fair?". I knew what he meant. We are here to witness by our work and beliefs that fair trade is a possible model of economy.
My adolescence was highly influenced by the books about Indians written by the German writer, Karl May (1842-1912). When I came to Canada in 1999 I was surprised to find there were none of his books in Toronto Public Libraries. I recently checked and was delighted to find Winnetou translated. You might like to check it out.
